At the SCO summit in China, both Xi and Putin criticized Washington’s dominance in global affairs. Putin also attended China’s largest military parade, marking the 80th anniversary of Japan’s defeat in World War II. Trump dismissed the parade as a challenge to the US and highlighted his good relationship with President Xi, stating that China needs the US more than the other way around.
