Fighting
Two paramedics died in a Ukrainian drone strike in Horlivka, Donetsk region, as reported by Russian-appointed administrator Ivan Prikhodko on Telegram. The ambulance driver was critically injured.
Russian forces launched numerous attacks on Kherson, killing four and injuring seven, said regional Governor Oleksandr Prokudin on Telegram. Damage included two apartment buildings and 30 houses.
Two civilians died and 11 were injured in the Donetsk region on Sunday, Governor Vadym Filashkin stated on Telegram.
A Russian attack in Kupiansk-Vuzlovy, Kharkiv region, killed one man and injured two women, reported Governor Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram.

Ceasefire Talks
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov expressed hope that the Putin-Trump meeting in Alaska on Friday will advance the “normalisation” of relations between the US and Russia, as reported by TASS.
Trump stated that discussions will include “land swaps” and changes but emphasized that he will urge Putin to end the war.
Regarding Zelenskyy’s potential participation in the talks, Trump indicated he was not initially included, noting his extensive diplomatic engagements over the past three and a half years with no significant outcome.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte discussed the critical issue of territorial recognition, indicating that any political recognition must have real, not just symbolic, effects.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that European leaders will address pressure on Russia and the preparation for possible peace talks and related territorial and security issues during virtual talks on Wednesday.
Sanctions
After emergency talks before the Trump-Putin meeting, EU’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas announced more sanctions against Russia, increased military support for Ukraine, and budgetary and accession process support for Ukraine’s EU membership.
The European Commission announced it secured 1.6 billion euros ($1.86bn) from “immobilised assets of the Russian Central Bank” to support Ukraine through the Ukraine Loan Cooperation Mechanism (ULCM).

Trump plans to meet with European leaders and Zelenskyy on Wednesday, according to the European Commission press office.
