A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the vehicle incident at the Russian consulate in Sydney’s Woollahra suburb.
According to the New South Wales Police Force, the incident occurred on Monday morning when officers arrived at the consulate in Woollahra after receiving reports of an unauthorized vehicle in the driveway.
The driver, upon being approached by officers, rammed his car into the property’s gates.
A 24-year-old constable sustained a hand injury as a result of the incident.
Sky News and Nine broadcasted footage featuring a car with a shattered window left abandoned next to a Russian flag.
As of now, the Russian consulate has not released any comments regarding the incident.
