BBC correspondent explores emergency medical center for earthquake survivors in Myanmar

The ruling military junta in Myanmar has stated that the death toll from last week’s earthquake now stands at almost 2,900 people. However, it is believed that the actual death toll is significantly higher, as many individuals are still trapped under the debris in affected areas.

The military junta has restricted access to foreign journalists, making it challenging to report from the country. Despite this, Yogita Limaye from the BBC has become the first foreign journalist to enter Myanmar since the disaster and has traveled to the city of Mandalay.

You can find the full report from Yogita Limaye on the BBC News website starting from 17:00 BST onwards. For more information, visit the BBC News program at 18:00.
