The Blue Ghost, a spacecraft developed by Firefly Aerospace, has achieved the first successful commercial moon landing in history.
A recently released video captured by the spacecraft showcases the precise moment when it touched down on Mare Crisium, a basin located in the north-east quadrant of the Moon, on the 2nd of March.
This mission is part of a collaborative effort between the United States space agency NASA and private sector companies.
Although Intuitive Machines’ Odysseus became the first commercial spacecraft to reach the moon in February 2024, it unfortunately tipped over upon landing, which resulted in hindered operations.
