Convoi of Kenyan President William Ruto Destroys Life of a British National.

In a tragic incident, a 79-year-old British man named Edgar Charles Frederick lost his life in a hit-and-run accident involving a vehicle that was part of Kenyan President William Ruto’s motorcade. The incident occurred on a main road in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya, on Thursday. Following the incident, the police swiftly launched an investigation and arrested the driver of a support vehicle traveling with President Ruto’s official convoy.

According to Police spokesman Michael Muchiri, Mr. Frederick had come to Kenya to visit his sister and nephew, who are residents of the country. The victim’s family has been notified about the unfortunate incident, and it is likely that a post-mortem will be conducted later on Friday.

The police stated that the driver, who fled the scene after the accident, is expected to appear in court once the investigation is complete. Officials from the UK High Commission are aware of the reports and are seeking further information regarding the incident.

Distressing videos posted on social media show Mr. Frederick lying injured and bleeding on the road outside a busy shopping area. Other pictures depict the victim covered in a Maasai Shuka, a checked shawl commonly used in Kenya. Mr. Muchiri clarified that the vehicle involved belonged to the regional administration and was providing support to the presidential detail.

Notably, President Ruto had been holding events in the vicinity of the accident scene on Thursday as part of his ongoing political engagements with the public in the capital.
