American Airlines flight passengers were evacuated onto the tarmac at a Colorado airport after a fire erupted on the plane, leading to smoke filling the air.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

Online footage depicted passengers crowding the wing of the commercial aircraft, clutching bags while flames blazed near the base of the plane.

The FAA confirmed that passengers successfully descended using inflatable slides. The agency has launched an investigation into the cause of the event.
