A strong king tide caused significant damage along Sydney’s coastline on Tuesday evening. Waves as high as 5.5 meters destroyed glass panels and lifted floors at the famous Bondi Icebergs pool. The surf club’s manager reported that the amount of water was the most he had ever witnessed. Meanwhile, residents in Botany Bay had to evacuate as the flooding encroached on their homes.
