Spanish law enforcement authorities discovered an illicit underground firing range during a raid on a dwelling in the southern province of Granada. They suspect the facility, situated three stories below ground, was managed by a gang involved in firearms trafficking, with the purpose of testing assault rifles and other weapons supplied to drug cartels. Due to its depth, the range was soundproofed, preventing neighbors from hearing the gunfire. Three individuals were apprehended, numerous firearms were confiscated, and over 60,000 euros in cash were recovered during the operation. This marks the first instance of police in Spain uncovering an unlawful shooting range operated by a criminal organization.
