A devastating nightclub fire in North Macedonia has claimed the lives of numerous individuals, according to local media sources. The blaze occurred in the early hours of Sunday at the Pulse club, located in Kocani, a town approximately 100 kilometers (60 miles) east of the capital, Skopje.
Witnesses shared footage on social media that showcased the building engulfed in flames, with thick smoke billowing into the night sky. Local reports have suggested that up to 50 people may have perished and many others sustained injuries, although there is no official confirmation of these numbers.
The fire is believed to have initiated around 03:00 (02:00 GMT) during a performance by the band ADN, and the venue was still engulfed in flames hours later. Reports indicate that as many as 1,500 people were attending the concert.
