A shooting at a Toronto pub has left at least a dozen individuals injured, with the perpetrator still on the loose, according to the city’s police department.
The incident occurred at 22:39 on Friday, local time (03:39 GMT Saturday), in the vicinity of Scarborough city center in eastern Toronto.
The authorities have not specified the severity of the injuries but mentioned that four of the victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, identified by their black balaclava, was spotted fleeting the scene in a silver vehicle, as per reports from the police.
“It is deeply concerning to hear about a shooting at a pub in Scarborough,” declared Mayor Olivia Chow on X.
She stated that the police chief had “assured me that all necessary resources have been deployed.”
“This is an ongoing investigation, and police will provide additional details. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
