On Tuesday evening, a Republican town hall meeting in Cobb County, Georgia, led by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, was disrupted by protesters. According to available footage, police promptly ejected three individuals shortly after Greene’s arrival, with one man being tasered inside the event space. In total, six individuals were ousted from the premises, and three were apprehended by law enforcement. Acworth Police confirmed the deployment of a taser on a second person. The charges leveled against two of the apprehended individuals include simple battery on a law enforcement officer and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. A third arrest was made due to the use of obscene language. Representative Taylor Greene expressed her gratitude for the police response, happy to see the disruptive attendees expelled. The police department released a statement detailing how their officers were met with threats, physical resistance, and harm while attempting to manage the situation with the protesters.
