On Saturday, at an event aimed at promoting conservation awareness, the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society organized its very first bird call contest. This unique contest attracted bird enthusiasts who dressed up and showcased their talent in mimicking the rhythmic calls of various bird species such as the Koel, Asian barred owlet, Chestnut-winged cockatoo, and more.
Bob Chan emerged as the winner of the contest with his impressive impression of a Eurasian tree sparrow. Participants utilized their creativity and passion for birds to entertain attendees while emphasizing the significance of conservation. In Hong Kong, over 580 different bird species have been recorded, highlighting the rich biodiversity within the region.
