A man arrested for an alleged act of terrorism in Boulder, Colorado, has been charged with a federal hate crime and 16 state counts of attempted murder after authorities claim he initiated a series of fire attacks against individuals.
The incident occurred on Sunday during an event called Run for their Lives, which aimed to support Israeli hostages in Gaza.
The suspect, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, a 45-year-old Egyptian national, reportedly shouted “free Palestine” while carrying out the attack.
BBC’s Peter Bowes provides an account of how the incident unfolded.
