Thousands of residences are deprived of electricity as Storm Alfred impacts Australia’s central eastern coast, accompanied by heavy showers and strong gusts. Initially classified as Cyclone Alfred, the weather system was reclassified as a tropical low, foreseeing winds of up to 85km/h, which is less intense than initially predicted.
