Nasa astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore have been stationed at the International Space Station (ISS) for nine months after the Boeing Starliner capsule they arrived in encountered technical issues. On March 14th, SpaceX launched a rocket carrying a new crew to the ISS with the intention of bringing Williams and Wilmore back to Earth. The plan is for Suni and Butch to embark on their journey home two days after the arrival of the new crew, however, Earth’s weather conditions could potentially delay the return. The BBC’s Aruna Iyengar provides an explanation on how the astronauts ended up spending nine months at the ISS. The video in this article was filmed and edited by Gabriela Boccaccio, and produced by Ian Casey and Rachel Flynn.
