At least two people, including a one-year-old baby, have been killed, and 11 others injured in a Russian overnight drone attack on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. One of the victims was the baby, whose body was recovered from the rubble. A young woman is also believed to have been killed. The Russian attacks targeted President Volodymyr Zelensky’s hometown of Kryvyi Rih, causing damage to three infrastructure facilities, prompting air raid warnings to be activated for all regions. Local officials stated that residential buildings were hit, and their occupants were urged to remain in shelters due to the ongoing attacks. Russian military has not commented on the reported drone strikes. Earlier, Putin rejected Western proposals for deploying a “reassurance force” in Ukraine after a ceasefire, arguing that any troops deployed would be legitimate targets.
