执行董事因不当行为辞职——德意志波罗的海广播公司——2025年3月31日

Paul Marchant, CEO of Primark, has announced his immediate resignation following allegations of improper behavior towards a woman in a social setting. Associated British Foods, Primark’s parent company, stated that Marchant cooperated with an external legal investigation and acknowledged his mistake. CEO George Weston expressed disappointment and emphasized the importance of responsible behavior, respect, and dignity in conducting business. Marchant has apologized to the accuser, colleagues, and the company’s board. The CFO of ABF will serve as interim CEO. Marchant has been the CEO of Primark since 2009, during which the company expanded to over 450 stores in 17 countries. Despite its popularity for low prices and stylish offerings, Primark has faced criticism for poor working conditions in its manufacturing facilities and its involvement in the 2013 Bangladesh textile factory collapse that resulted in over 1,000 deaths.
