Ocean Infinity, a maritime exploration firm, is resuming the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which disappeared in 2014. The Boeing 777 was carrying 239 people when it vanished en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. This disappearance led to the largest search in aviation history in 2014. Malaysia has agreed to Ocean Infinity’s proposal to resume the search, with the firm using a search vessel and autonomous underwater vehicles to cover an area of about 15,000 square kilometers off the coast of Perth in Western Australia. The search will focus on four main spots where researchers believe the wreckage is most likely to be found. Ocean Infinity previously conducted a search for the aircraft in 2018.
