Several individuals lost their lives and many more sustained injuries when a vehicle crashed into a crowd at a street festival in Vancouver, located in western Canada, on Saturday, according to the police.
CBC, the public broadcaster, reported that the incident occurred just after 8 PM local time, near the intersection of East 41st Avenue and Fraser Street, situated in the city’s Eastside.
In a statement released on X, the police confirmed that the driver responsible for the incident is now in custody.
