On Wednesday, the European Commission announced that it plans to implement its own set of tariffs on US products starting from April 1.
The decision to introduce “countermeasures” came as a response to the US tariffs of up to 25% that were imposed on EU steel and aluminum.
The Commission aims to protect European businesses, workers, and consumers from the negative effects of these “unjustified trade restrictions” through these countermeasures.
