A deadly explosion occurred at Chuo Spring Co’s manufacturing facility in Toyota, Japan, claiming one life and injuring two others, according to officials on Thursday.
The plant, responsible for producing auto parts and supplies for Toyota Motor, was the site of the devastating incident.
For further information on the blast:
The fire department confirmed that the explosion originated from a dust collector within the Fujioka plant.
Local news outlets, such as Chubu-Nippon Broadcasting and Nagoya Broadcasting Network, reported that the fire department responded to an emergency call indicating an explosion in the dust collector and subsequent collapse of the rooftop.
Both Toyota Motors and Chuo Spring have acknowledged the explosion but are currently in the process of gathering additional details about the incident.
In a similar incident in 2023, a blast at the factory prompted Toyota to temporarily halt production at several domestic plants.
“We are currently analyzing the causes of the impact. Reported by Robert R.”
