A woman died in an explosion in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, according to police reports on Saturday. The explosion occurred due to an explosive device she was carrying, which detonated in her hands. Police believe she intended to place the device at a bank’s ATM, but it exploded prematurely. The 38-year-old woman, who was known to the authorities for her involvement in previous robberies, sustained injuries from the blast and later passed away in the hospital. Investigations are ongoing to determine if there are any connections to extreme leftist groups.
