German law enforcement uncovers a narcotics trafficker selling wraps flavored with methamphetamine – DW – December 3, 2025.

German customs officers at the Würzburg bus station discovered a peculiar filling in several tortilla wraps during a routine inspection on Wednesday, as reported by the police.

A man traveling from the Netherlands to Hungary was found smuggling 339 grams of methamphetamines, concealed within the meal that appeared to be a portable dinner. The street value of the confiscated drugs amounts to approximately €23,000.

Benedikt Danz, a spokesperson for the central customs office in Schweinfurt, revealed this information. Würzburg and Schweinfurt are located in the Franconia region of southern Bavaria.

The discovery of the crystal meth in the tortilla wraps was made during a routine check conducted by customs officers from Schweinfurt on Sunday evening. One passenger, heading to Hungary without any declared goods, raised suspicions and was subjected to further examination.

Upon searching his belongings, officers found three tortilla wraps, wrapped in plastic and containing what appeared to be a regular meal with some salad visible. However, upon closer inspection, the contents felt unusual, leading to the discovery of bags of crystal meth.

The 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of smuggling narcotics, and the case has been transferred to the customs investigation office in Munich.
