Israel to continue attacks with ‘increasing military strength’
“Israel will, from now on, act against Hamas with increasing military strength,” it said in a statement.
Israel justified the move by claiming that Hamas had repeatedly refused to release all hostages and has rejected proposals from US mediators.
Hamas rejected that claim, saying in a statement that Israel was “fully responsible for violating and overturning the agreement.”

Israel consulted Trump administration before striking Gaza: White House
Israel consulted US President Donald Trump’s administration on Monday before it launched a series of strikes in Gaza, the White House said late Monday.
“The Trump administration and the White House were consulted by the Israelis on their attacks in Gaza tonight,” Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Fox News’s “Hannity” program.
“As President Trump has made it clear, Hamas, the Houthis, Iran, all those who seek to terrorize not just Israel, but also the United States of America, will see a price to pay — all hell will break loose,” she said in the televised interview.
Previously, Trump had publicly warned that Hamas should release all hostages in Gaza or “let hell break out.”

Houthis claim third attack on US aircraft carrier group in Red Sea
Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis on Tuesday claimed they attacked an American aircraft carrier group, calling it a retaliatory move against US strikes.
In a Telegram post, the Houthis said that they targeted the USS Harry S. Truman carrier group with missiles and drones, making the attack the “third in the past 48 hours” in the northern Red Sea.
Meanwhile, the US has continued its strikes against the rebel group in Yemen.
The US will continue to strike Yemen’s Houthi rebels until they end attacks on international shipping, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Sunday.
US President Donald Trump has also vowed to “use overwhelming lethal force” to end the Houthi attacks.
“To all Houthi terrorists, YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!” he wrote.

Israel launches airstrikes across Gaza
Israel early on Tuesday carried out a series of airstrikes on what it said were Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
A post on X from the Israeli military said it is “conducting extensive strikes on terror targets belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office expressed frustration that Hamas has refused to release hostages it took as part of the October 7, 2023 terror attacks on Israel. Hamas is considered a terrorist organization not only by Israel, but also the US, Germany and several other countries.
Israel and Hamas have been at war since the the October 7 attacks, but had entered into a ceasefire on January 19. After finishing a first round of the ceasefire where Hamas released Israeli hostages in exchange for Israel releasing Palestinian prisoners, the two sides were supposed to enter a second phase of the truce.
A senior Hamas official told Reuters news agency that Israel is unilaterally ending the ceasefire agreement, with the group accusing Israel of resuming “aggression” against Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
Reuters, citing medics in Gaza, reported that at least 40 people in Gaza had died from the Israeli airstrikes.
US news outlet Axios reported that Israel informed US President Donald Trump’s administration ahead of the attacks.
