Pakistan reports 3 air bases hit by Indian missile strikes
Pakistan‘s armed forces announced on Saturday that three air bases were targeted by Indian missile strikes, including one near army headquarters just outside Islamabad.
A military spokesperson confirmed that most incoming missiles were intercepted by Pakistan’s air defense systems, and those that reached their destinations did not hit their targets.
“India’s aggression does not go unanswered,” stated Lt. Gen. Ahmad Sharif on live Pakistani state TV, referring to the targeted air bases at Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot.
All Pakistan Air Force assets remain functional. The spokesperson also mentioned retrieving electronic signatures from the intercepted missiles, indicating their point of origin.
“Brace yourselves for our response,” he warned.
The Nur Khan air base in Rawalpindi, close to Islamabad, is approximately 10 kilometers (six miles) away from the capital.

Welcome to our coverage
Tensions between India and Pakistan have intensified following the April 22 attack, which saw Islamist militants kill 26 people, mostly tourists, in the vicinity of the mountain town of Pahalgam in Indian-administered Kashmir.
India has blamed Pakistan for supporting these militants and initiated “Operation Sindoor,” comprising airstrikes against Pakistan as well as areas under Pakistani control in Kashmir.
Pakistan denies these allegations and has reportedly conducted drone strikes against Indian targets.
So far, at least 50 people are confirmed to have been killed.
This blog will provide updates and reactions on these events on Saturday, May 10.
