Pakistani authorities are reportedly set to begin widespread expulsions of Afghan female activists, the Deutsche Welle (DW) reports on March 17, 2025.

Zahra Mousavi, an advocate for women’s rights, left Afghanistan in March 2022 to escape the oppressive rule of the Taliban and sought refuge in Pakistan. Despite the danger, she and other Afghan women activists continue to face the threat of deportation and the violation of their human rights as Islamabad steps up the pace of sending back Afghans to their home country.
