Red Sea Submarine Mishap Claims Six Lives – DW – March 27, 2025

On Thursday, authorities reported that a tourist submarine sank off the coast of Hurghada, a popular destination on the Red Sea. At least six people tragically lost their lives, and nine others sustained injuries. The Red Sea governorate confirmed that emergency teams successfully rescued 29 individuals. The submarine was reportedly on a tour with approximately 45 tourists from different countries when it sank near the tourist promenade area. Further details will be provided.
