A gunman initiated a shooting at a Manattan office building in New York City on Monday, resulting in the deaths of multiple individuals.
The shooter has passed away, as reported by American media sources, indicating a self-inflicted fatal wound. Among the victims is a high-ranking police officer, according to various reports.
“The scene has been contained, and the single shooter is no longer alive,” stated the New York Police Department on X.
The office tower in question is home to several of the nation’s leading financial institutions and the National Football League.
