A US citizen named Faye Hall has been released by the Taliban, as confirmed by Zalmay Khalilzad, the former US special envoy to Afghanistan.

“US citizen Faye Hall, who has been freed by the Taliban, is now with Qataris in Kabul and is expected to return home soon,” announced Khalilzad via X (formerly Twitter).

Ms. Hall was taken into custody in February along with several others.
