Hamas is looking for a ceasefire with Israel — Trump
“Hamas wants to meet and is seeking a ceasefire,” Trump stated as he began a White House dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff mentioned that there was an opportunity for a quick agreement.
White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt noted that Witkoff “is set to travel to Doha later this week” to join the mediation talks.
Leavitt commended Qatar and Egypt for their “significant assistance in mediating these negotiations and discussions to establish peace in the region and end this particular conflict conclusively.”
