Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in London on Saturday for a summit organized by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other European leaders.
Zelenskyy received a warm welcome from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, in stark contrast to his tense meetings with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance earlier.
The Sunday meeting will include leaders from Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Turkey, Finland, Sweden, Czechia, and Romania, as well as the NATO secretary-general and the presidents of the European Commission and European Council.
Starmer emphasized the significance of unity in order to secure the best possible outcome for Ukraine, protect European security, and ensure their collective future.
Earlier, the UK announced a £2.26 billion (€2.16 billion) loan agreement to support Ukraine against Russian aggression.
Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude for having such strategic partners and sharing a common vision for a secure future.
He is also scheduled to meet with Britain’s King Charles III on Sunday.
