At least 17 fatalities result from a car bomb explosion and a distinct helicopter assault in Colombia.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has linked both attacks to individuals who have disassociated themselves from the now-defunct Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). He further stated that a suspected member of this group was apprehended near the scene of the car explosion.
