Captivated by captain Dennis Schröder, Germany secured the final six points after Turkey maintained a lead throughout much of the game.

Comanding the game at Arena Riga in Latvia were Shane Larkin, Şehmus Hazer, Cedi Osman, Ercan Osmani, and Alperen Şengün for Turkey, facing off against Germany’s Schröder, Obst, Bonga, Theis, and Wagner.

Coach Ergin Ataman and his Turkish team charged ahead with a 13-2 run early on. Germany then responded, with points from Bonga and Schröder, closing the first quarter with a narrow lead for Turkey, 22-24.

Both teams began the third quarter with aggressive plays.

Within the first five minutes of the third quarter, Houston Rockets’ Turkish standout Alperen Şengün was fouled, enabling Turkey to retake the lead.

A three-pointer by Cedi Osman extended Turkey’s advantage to 61-55.

Germany, the tournament’s leading scorer with 101 points, narrowed the gap to 63-65 but Turkey reclaimed the lead with a basket from Adem Bona. The quarter concluded with Turkey ahead 67-66.

The final quarter commenced with rapid-fire plays, notably highlighted by Cedi Osman’s three-pointers.

Marked by Shane Larkin’s double-double performance, the last quarter was intensely competitive. Turkey entered the final stretch with a 76-74 lead.

However, Bonga’s three-pointer shifted the balance, putting Germany ahead 76-77.
