New data reveals the defense industry is stepping up its efforts to lobby within the European Parliament.

Recent data gathered by Transparency International reveals that Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) are facing escalating influence from lobbyists on defense-related matters. In the preceding year, such meetings, attended by lobbying entities ranging from consultancy firms and trade associations to defense companies, summed up to a staggering total of 197 instances.
