Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, was hospitalized at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on February 14th following a prolonged period of bronchitis that had deteriorated. He has a long-standing lung condition, which makes him particularly susceptible to respiratory infections, especially during winter months.
