Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen delivered this message in a video hours after Vice President JD Vance visited a U.S. military base there, criticizing Denmark’s efforts to protect Greenland. Rasmussen emphasized that while criticism is acceptable, the manner in which it’s delivered is not. The Trump administration had accused Denmark of insufficiently safeguarding Greenland from the threats of Russia and China.
