The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has ended as Israeli fighter jets started striking the Gaza Strip after Hamas declined repeated hostage deal offers, according to officials.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) initiated strikes against Hamas terror targets across Gaza to achieve the political leadership’s war objectives, including securing the release of all hostages, both living and deceased, as stated by Defense Minister Israel Katz’s office.
“This decision follows Hamas’s continuous refusal to release our hostages and their rejection of all proposals put forth by U.S. President Joe Biden’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, as well as the mediators,” the letter adds.
Authorities have announced that Israel will increase its military actions against Hamas in response.
