Polish authorities neutralize drones associated with Russia’s aggression against Ukraine’s borders

Defense officials in Poland assert that their military forces managed to shoot down drones that trespassed into their airspace at dawn on Monday.

Cezary Tomczyk, Poland’s Deputy Defense Minister, communicated via social media, outlining an operation to ‘neutralize intruding objects’ that had crossed the borders of Poland.

“State authorities, including the President and the Prime Minister of Poland, have duly been informed,” added Tomczyk in his message.

Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz underscored the consistent communication with NATO command.

Poland’s Operational Command associates this airspace intrusion event with a recent Russian military operation in neighboring Ukraine.

“The intrusion of drones into our airspace was an unprecedented incident following a Russian attack on Ukraine. Such an act, posing a real threat to our citizens, is considered an aggressive maneuver.”

The Operational Command has initiated ‘defensive measures,’ and with the Polish military’s help, decided to neutralize the threatening objects.

Domestic media reports indicate efforts are underway to locate and secure possible crash sites of these intruding objects,” the Command stated. “The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces closely monitors the situation, ensuring Polish and allied forces remain fully prepared for further actions.
