Pope Francis displays signs of improvement, will continue to stay in the hospital

Pope Francis, who is 88 years old, is showing signs of improvement and remains in a stable condition as he nears the one-month mark of his hospitalization for bronchitis that turned into pneumonia. The Holy See Press Office reported on Thursday that he had a peaceful night, marking the 12th anniversary of his election as the leader of the Roman Catholic Church. He is continuing to receive non-invasive mechanical ventilation treatments at night and high-flow oxygen therapy during the day. Additionally, it has been reported that Pope Francis is now eating solid foods and is showing slight gradual improvements, according to the Vatican. His health condition is described as complex, necessitating further hospitalization. The Pope recently participated in spiritual exercises at the Vatican, received the Eucharist, prayed, and underwent physical therapy. A chest X-ray confirmed improvements seen by medical staff in previous days. His health has significantly improved this week, and while he is out of danger from death, he will remain in the hospital for ongoing treatment.
