Pope Francis Health Update 001 .jpg

Pope Francis set to leave Gemelli Hospital by Sunday, according to physician’s statement.

Gemelli Hospital medical director Dr. Sergio Alfieri announced on Saturday that Pope Francis is anticipated to be released on Sunday.

Addressing a press conference, Dr. Alfieri revealed that the Holy Father had “two very serious episodes” during his stay at the hospital when his life was at risk. However, he has since shown a “slow but steady” improvement, attributed to “pharmacological therapy, the use of high flow oxygen, and assisted ventilation.” Contrary to previous concerns, the pope was not intubated, Dr. Alfieri clarified.

This is a developing news story. Stay tuned for further updates.
