Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer was interrupted twice by the Permanent Observer Representative of the State of Palestine to the U.N., Ibrahim Khraishi, and barred from finishing his statement. It’s characterized as “censorship in its rawest form” by Neuer, who additionally pointed out that the democracies such as France, Germany, Canada, and the United States all condemned Francesca Albanese for her antisemitism. After the interruption, Ann Bayefsky, Director of Touro Institute on Human Rights and the Holocaust, also faced reprimand for her conduct. Italy’s Deputy Foreign Minister Marina Sereni is the latest to criticize Israeli raids that killed four Palestinians, calling it a “gruesome toll” of such raids.
