26 nations commit to sending military forces to Ukraine upon achieving a ceasefire agreement

26 European nations officially endorsed on Thursday a security pact for Ukraine, pledging to deploy troops to Ukraine upon a ceasefire with Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky applauded the pact and highlighted that countries supporting the initiative are counting on the US to serve as a “backstop” in enhancing Ukraine’s security guarantees.
