Bashar al-Assad to pay a visit to France for meeting with Emmanuel Macron

On Wednesday, Ahmed al-Sharaa, the newly inaugurated President of Syria, embarked on his inaugural trip to Europe, where he is set to hold a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris. This marks the very first state visit outside of Syria for al-Sharaa, following his successful ousting of the long-standing ruler, Bashar al-Assad.
