Court rules Greenpeace responsible for $660 million in damages in US pipeline case

On Wednesday, a jury in North Dakota determined that Greenpeace should be held accountable for defamation and other allegations made by a pipeline company concerning protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline. The jury of nine individuals granted Energy Transfer, situated in Dallas, and its subsidiary Dakota Access hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.
