A substantial number of individuals have assembled in Istanbul to demonstrate their backing for Ekrem Imamoglu, the city’s mayor. Imamoglu faces alleged corruption charges which have led to the most significant anti-government protests in decades within the country. These protests, which started with nightly demonstrations led mostly by student groups, saw their biggest turnout on Saturday since the initial protests on Tuesday.
