EU leader assures Europe is equipped to weather the crisis, stating, “All necessary resources are in place.”

Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Union, attempted to reassure European citizens on Thursday following the imposition of new tariffs by US President Donald Trump. Von der Leyen stated, “Europe is well-equipped to survive the storm.” Nevertheless, EU citizens are expressing growing frustration as their leaders continue to refer to the US as an ally despite its perceived “naked aggression,” according to FRANCE 24’s Brussels correspondent, Dave Keating. He noted that many people are upset by what they perceive as excessive caution from EU leaders.
