EU Leaders Poised to Approve Defence Spending Increase at Crisis Summit Meeting

Leaders of the European Union gathering for an emergency summit on Thursday aim to address alterations to fiscal rules on responsibility. These rules, established 15 years ago in response to a debt crisis, enforce a limit on the deficit that countries can accumulate.
