Global leaders convene on the French Riviera for a UN gathering addressing the urgent state of the world’s oceans.

A group of approximately 50 world leaders will meet in Nice, France, starting from Sunday, to address the pressing global issue of ocean deterioration. The United Nations has labeled this crisis as a global “emergency” and the Nice summit aims to forge a unified strategy on matters such as plastic contamination, overfishing, and deep-sea mining to combat the deteriorating state of marine ecosystems.
