The United Nations released a report on Tuesday detailing instances of armed men in Sudan sexually assaulting children, some as young as one year old. According to UNICEF, there has been a significant rise of child sexual abuse cases within the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Since the beginning of 2024, a troubling number of 221 child rape cases have been logged, with girls accounting for two-thirds of the victims.
